Gather 'round the open fire for Chimneyside Chats - a monthly feature with holiday stories from our favorite artists. See what's in their stockings this year as they reminisce on Christmas memories, share their favorite recipe and more! Here's what alternative a cappella group The Sharpe Family Singers had to say:

Along with the release of our new album, A Sharpe Family Christmas, we have many family traditions that get us into the holiday spirit. When gathering with family for the holidays you can expect lots of food and games. We have a huge extended family and we always get together during the holidays. Our big family tradition is to play a huge game of Jeopardy after Christmas dinner.

It's quite obvious that this is one Christmas loving family. We love the Christmas spirit! You can just feel the excitement in the air. As close as we are normally, the holiday season brings us even closer together! Singing of course isn't the only thing our family does to celebrate. Food is of course a big part of the celebration. We always dance to Christmas music as we are putting out the milk and cookies for Santa. We always make cheesecake with cherry topping and an old family recipe of spinach pie, which is the best in the world! Presents are also a part of our family's traditions, except when asked what gift stands out the most it was the youngest member of our family who said, “Our best gift ever was when Santa gave us our chihuahua! He brings so much joy Into our lives; we love him so much. And the gifts we enjoy giving are holiday charity concerts for the elderly. It’s very rewarding. We love making people happy!”

Like many, our family loves Christmastime so it was a no brainer when it came to making a Christmas album. Christmas is our favorite time of year! We even listen to Christmas music in the summertime, so we couldn’t wait to record our first Christmas album. Music is a huge part of helping us celebrate this time of year. One of our recommendations is singing Christmas carols. It’s something we all love to do and it’s the one time a year we get to enjoy singing with our extended family as well. Everyone has so much fun!
