The holidays can be a magical time you get to spend with your friends and family. Sipping on hot cocoa around the fire, kissing under a mistletoe, building a snow person (or something). However, there is one unusual tradition I have that has been going on for ages.

There’s this particular box that my friend Zac and I have been giving back and forth to each other throughout the years. Whoever has the box that year will leave it on the other person’s doorstep on Christmas Eve night.

The box is from an old Dance Dance Revolution game and has been wrapped in the same Elf wrapping paper for years now specifically because Zac hates Will Ferrell movies. Most of the stuff inside the box changes each time, but there are some things that have been there for years. The items are usually totally random; some things you might find inside the box could be a gift wrapped potato, Cirque du Soleil VHS or probably expired Taco Bell sauce. At some point, a Justin Bieber cardboard cutout became part of this tradition and comes along with the box. There’s nothing scarier than hearing a knock on your door at midnight and opening it to find a baby Bieber at your doorstep.

I have the box and Bieber this year so it’s my turn! Hopefully he’s not reading this and forgets I have it.
